Retail fitout expert and interior designer Influence by Design didn’t get its name by chance. Grounded in a design philosophy of simplicity, functionalism and expertise their work speaks for itself.
What makes this design and retail fitout combination so distinctive, however, is the ability to approach each new project as an exciting opportunity to make a great first impression. Cleverly combining layout, materials and accessibility Influence by Design crafts a unique customer experience that entices you into the store. This strategy has delivered awards and accolades alike.
Naturally, we’re proud of our customer’s success. And share their story about award-winning project Rivalry, located at the Elizabeth Shopping Centre.
Rivalry, a well-established streetwear icon, wanted a new retail fitout to expand the store and increase brand awareness. Influence by Design, inspired by the New York subways, turned to Durabric for that ‘real brick’ look and feel.
“We used the DuraBric Standard profile in-store. We had previously worked with it on a JT Surf fit-out and loved how the store came up” states Ashleigh Barry, Influence by Design’s Interior Designer/Director.
“The standard brick profile was fitting for the overall theme however, we used it more discretely for this design. Painted black we love how the light reflects off it, especially the glow from the neon sign.”
The addition of concrete, industrial lighting, signage and colours associated with the underground terminals, bought the NY concept to life.
The brick facade was also used as a backdrop in the window to add interest. A stark contrast to the black, the crisp white finish provided a great backing for marketing campaigns and fresh engaging displays.
Perfectly targeted at Rivalry’s demographic and selection of fashion, this concept completed the overall branding of Rivalry. An extra bonus was winning New Fit-out of the Year – Retail Excellence (2016).
